Experienced Certified Home Inspector
EXPERIENCED HOME INSPECTORS ONLY — This is not an entry-level position.
Serenity Home Inspections is looking for an experienced, certified residential home inspector to join our growing Metro Atlanta team.
If you're already performing home inspections but are looking for more consistent inspection volume, strong company support, company-provided equipment, and the opportunity to focus on inspecting rather than generating all of your own business, we'd like to talk with you.
Applicants must have actual hands-on experience independently performing complete residential home inspections and producing professional, client-ready inspection reports.
Home inspector certification alone does not meet the experience requirement for this position. Construction, contracting, maintenance, real estate, code enforcement, or other home-related experience without actual residential home inspection experience will not qualify.
What You'll Do
- Perform complete residential home inspections throughout Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas
- Inspect roofing, structural components, foundations, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, interiors, exteriors, attics, crawlspaces, insulation, and other visible systems
- Identify and document defects, safety concerns, and significant conditions
- Produce detailed digital inspection reports with photographs and clear written narratives
- Clearly explain inspection findings to homebuyers and real estate professionals
- Follow Serenity Home Inspections' Standards of Practice, reporting procedures, and quality expectations
- Utilize Spectora inspection software and other company-provided technology
- Complete reports the same day
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Learn additional inspection services as appropriate

- Experienced and confident performing residential inspections independently

- Coachable and willing to follow established company procedures
- Customer-service focused
- Comfortable working outdoors, in attics, crawlspaces, on roofs, and in varying weather conditions
- Interested in becoming part of a long-term team rather than simply picking up occasional or subcontract inspection work
Required Qualifications
- Current home inspector certification through InterNACHI, ASHI, ICA, or another recognized home inspection organization
- Prior hands-on experience independently performing full residential home inspections
- Experience producing complete residential inspection reports with photographs and written defect narratives
- Working knowledge of residential roofing, structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, foundation, attic, crawlspace, interior, and exterior systems
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas
- Ability to work independently while following company procedures and quality standards
Candidates with approximately 100 or more completed residential home inspections are preferred.

- 11-month warranty inspections
- ICC certifications
- Sewer scope inspections
- Radon testing
- Mold sampling and indoor air quality testing
- Pool and spa inspections
- Thermal imaging
- Drone operation
- Other ancillary inspection services
Experience with every service listed above is not required. We provide training and equipment for qualified inspectors who want to expand their services.

Compensation
Onboarding and company-specific training: $20 per hour during the paid training period
Estimated annual earnings: $55,000–$85,000, depending on experience, availability, production, and services performed.
Additional earning potential is available as inspectors become qualified to perform ancillary services and advance within the company.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Rotating weekend availability
- Typical inspection times are approximately 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- Field-based position throughout Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas
Travel throughout the Metro Atlanta service area is a regular part of this position.
Important Experience Requirement
This position is intended for an inspector who already understands how to perform a complete residential home inspection.
We will train the selected inspector on Serenity Home Inspections' procedures, Spectora reporting system, report standards, client experience, ancillary services, and company processes, but this position is not designed to provide initial home inspector field training from the ground up.
