Job Description
The Data Specialist maintains accurate and confidential school and student data files. The Data Specialist provides relevant reports and analysis for stakeholder reporting.

Provide student achievement data for school administration to utilize in for DDI
Train school employees on applicable dashboards
Attends school leadership and/or content meetings as directed
Attend CCRPI DOE meetings as requested
Monitor School and Department Goal Progress
Provide assessment data, completion, & analysis
Provide withdrawal data & analysis
Provide Excel trainings
Provide pass/fail data & analysis
Provide system grades comparison data
Provide Milestones data
Provide contact log data & analysis
Provide FRAM Completion data
Provide re-registration data
Provide household data
Provide Infinite Campus compliance data
Provide Records Data
Provide family engagement compliance data
Provide engagement level data
Provide attendance data
Provide student compliance data
Provide staff compliance data
Collect data on students who are given permission to watch recordings instead of attend classes live
Provide board analysis as requested
Provide staff effectiveness data
Provide data on external platform usage
Provide Canvas and Infinite Campus student comparison data
Create Mail Merge Reports
Complete Zendesk tickets as assigned
Provide additional reports and/or analysis upon request
Participate in state testing
Cross functional duties as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
Two (2) years’ experience in a virtual school setting, earning a “Meets” or “Exceeds” expectations in all categories at each year-end review OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses
Other Requirements
Knowledge of state and federal laws, and other pertinent laws regarding K-12 Education as they relate to applicable duties
Familiarity with online learning environment
Experience working with diverse student populations
Knowledge of the SCSC Comprehensive Performance Framework
Knowledge of GaDOE CCRPI
Ability to read and interpret student academic data and educational reports
Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to deadlines
Strong critical thinking, planning, and writing skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate and communicate effectively within a team
Ability to manage multiple projects within established deadlines

Desired Qualifications
Experience with Power BI
Proficient SQL knowledge
Python experience
Advanced Degree in Statistics and Analysis or related field of study
Three (3) years of experience working in a virtual educational environment collecting and interpreting data
K-12 educational experience in the form of Teaching, Academic Intervention, or related instructional areas
Previous experience as a Learning Coach or Staff Member at Georgia Cyber Academy
Previous experience as an online educator
Previous experience with online educational tools/curriculum/assessments
Working knowledge of Infinite Campus (SIS)
Working knowledge of Canvas (LMS)
Proficient in use of Zoom conferencing tool
Bi-lingual

Work Schedule: This is a Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, 5 Days/Week, primarily remote position.
In-Person Attendance: In-person attendance at professional development, training, conferences, job fairs, meetings, school events, marketing events, and/or testing sites will be required several times per year.
Vision: (which may be corrected) to read small print; view a computer screen for prolonged periods.
Hearing: (which may be corrected) to answer telephones and tolerate exposure to noisy conditions.
