Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Investor Reporting Specialist to join our financial services team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of investor reports, regulatory filings, and compliance documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial analysis, accounting principles, and industry regulations, with the ability to manage complex data sets and communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients. Temporary Investor Reporting Specialist

Location: NE, Atlanta, GA
Pay: $20/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday,
Duration: 6–12 months
Interview Type: Virtual

About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Investor Reporting Specialist to support the State Home Mortgage program. This temporary role is ideal for candidates with strong financial operations experience and advanced Excel skills.

You will be responsible for portfolio management, reconciliation preparation, remittance verification, banking transactions, loan adjustments, payment processing, exception tracking, servicing revenue analysis, escrow advance recovery reporting, and financial record retention.

This position requires accuracy, timeliness, and strong organizational habits, as well as the ability to understand how one function connects to other related business areas.

Responsibilities

Perform portfolio management and bank reconciliation preparation
Conduct clearing account research and remittance verification
Process banking transactions, stop payments, and disbursement maintenance
Handle loan adjustments, modifications, and payment processing
Track exceptions and respond to general research requests
Analyze servicing revenue and escrow advance recovery reporting
Maintain financial record retention for State Home Mortgage
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of borrower payments, investor remittances, custodial accounts, and disbursement activity

Qualifications – Required

Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field and two years of professional experience in accounting, billing, collections, claims, financial analysis, mortgage servicing, escrow operations, reconciliation, or related financial operations
OR
Two years of professional experience in the above areas

One year of experience at the lower‑level Financial Analyst 1 or equivalentPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
Experience with Black Knight/MSP and mortgage loan servicing operations
Familiarity with custodial account management, Treasury Management/Banking functions, and financial research/analysis
Strong Excel skills and documentation habits
Demonstrated ability to improve, organize, or implement business processes
