Full Job Description

Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 annually. This salary range is non-negotiable.

Position Summary

The Resident Services Coordinator is a multi-site, multi-property position supporting residents across multiple LIHTC, HUD, PBRA, Section 8, and senior housing communities. The Coordinator will travel between assigned properties to connect residents with community resources, coordinate programs and services, and promote resident stability, independence, health and wellness, nutritional awareness, social and civic engagement, and overall quality of life. The Coordinator serves as a liaison between residents, onsite property management, families and caregivers, service providers, and community partners while helping foster thriving resident communities across the assigned portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct resident surveys, needs assessments, and follow up to identify service needs.
Connect residents with healthcare, transportation, food assistance, rental assistance, counseling, employment resources, benefits programs, social activities, and other community services.
Develop and maintain relationships with local agencies, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
Plan, coordinate, and promote resident programs, workshops, wellness initiatives, educational opportunities, and community events.
Serve as an advocate and liaison between residents, property management, families, caregivers, and service providers.
Provide short term service coordination, referrals, and follow up to ensure residents receive appropriate assistance.
Maintain accurate and confidential resident records, referrals, and program participation information across assigned properties.
Collaborate with property management regarding resident concerns, reasonable accommodation requests, housing stability, and lease related matters.
Respond appropriately to urgent resident needs and refer crisis situations to the proper agencies or emergency services.
Prepare monthly calendars, newsletters, surveys, and resident communications.
Track program participation, outcomes, and effectiveness across assigned properties.
Assist with securing community partnerships, sponsorships, and donated resources to support resident programming.
Coordinate volunteers, vendors, and teams conducting onsite resident activities.
Oversee scheduling of resident shuttle activity vans, when applicable.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Public Administration, Community Development, or a related field required.
Experience working with seniors, families, individuals with disabilities, low income households, or diverse resident populations in LIHTC, HUD, PBRA, Section 8, or subsidized housing preferred.
Knowledge of community resources, social service systems, affordable housing programs, and resident support services.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and problem solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and accurate documentation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and experience using property management or case management software is preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with residents, staff, vendors, agencies, and community partners.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required, with the ability to travel regularly between assigned properties.

Work Environment

This is a multi-site, multi-property position requiring regular travel between assigned affordable housing communities and property management offices. Regular walking throughout properties, attending resident events, visiting community partners, and occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
