Bartender: Carmel —Wood-Fire Seafood & Oyster Bar

Carmel — OLIVA Restaurant Group’s coastal-inspired, wood-fire seafood and oyster bar is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven bartender to join our team. Our bar program showcases thoughtful craft cocktails, coastal flavors, seasonal ingredients, and a refined but relaxed style that complements our open-hearth kitchen and Oyster Bar. We’re looking for a bartender who thrives in an upscale, fast-paced environment and takes pride in precision, warmth, and genuine hospitality. If you’re passionate about craft cocktails, wine, seafood pairings, and creating memorable guest experiences, Carmel may be the perfect fit.

Requirements

1+ years of craft cocktail and high-volume bartending experience
A guest-first, hospitality-centered mindset
Strong work ethic, honesty, and a calm, positive demeanor
Clear communication skills and the ability to multitask gracefully
Reliable transportation and consistent availability
A love for Oysters is a huge plus!

What You’ll Do

Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and zero-proof beverages in accordance with Carmel’s presentation and flavor standards.
Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service at the bar and throughout the dining room.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually polished bar — from setup through breakdown.
Follow prep lists and produce mixers, syrups, infusions, and garnishes with accuracy and consistency.
Accurately ring sales, manage payments, and uphold cash-handling standards.
Support teammates and collaborate seamlessly with service and oyster bar teams.
Maintain compliance with alcohol safety, sanitation, and food-handling requirements at all times.
Polish glassware, restock supplies, and keep the bar pristine during service.
