This position is at 47 Trinity Ave. Atlanta, Georgia 30334.

Job Description

Pay Grade: L

Under broad supervision, performs complex administrative duties and financial and operational data analysis and reporting in support of the Office of Family Independence (OFI) / Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Partners with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgement.

Role and Responsibilities:

Analyzes and interprets program data and reports to determine if DFCS is meeting federal requirements.
Coordinates single state audit process with state and federal TANF agencies; assumes responsibility for oversight, preparation, coordination and implementation of corrective actions.
Develops monthly/quarterly reports to monitor state DFCS performance.
Participates in User Acceptance Testing for TANF system changes as required.
Provides technical assistance and consultation to OFI staff, regional staff and county staff, as appropriate.
Serves on division/department committee/task forces, as requested.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of TANF program procedures and policies.
Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
Ability to write protocols, deliverables, policies, and procedures.
Ability to conduct meetings and make presentations to state and community level partners.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to build positive working relationships with community leaders, organizations, and state partners.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience related to area of assignment.

One (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Business Support Analyst 2 (GSP131).

Note : An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience.

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of related experience.
Data analysis experience.
Excellent oral, written, analytical, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.
Knowledge of TANF policies and procedures.
Work experience in TANF program.
