About the Firm

We are a rapidly growing personal injury law firm known for delivering results and advocating for our clients. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Negotiations to lead our pre-litigation negotiation efforts from our Atlanta office. This senior-level role is ideal for a results-driven legal professional with deep expertise in personal injury and a strong background in management and settlement negotiation.

Position Overview

The Director of Negotiations will be responsible for overseeing and directly managing the firm’s team of pre-litigation negotiators. This includes setting negotiation strategies, guiding daily performance, and ensuring consistent, high-value outcomes for our clients. Hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and deep familiarity with the personal injury claims process is required along with the ability to manage a team and achieve daily performance goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Directly lead and manage a team of pre-litigation negotiators, including hiring, training, and performance oversight
Direct the negotiation strategy for personal injury claims, ensuring efficient and high-value settlements
Collaborate with other directors to evaluate case readiness and support negotiators with accurate case valuation
Serve as the final escalation point for complex, high-value, or disputed negotiations
Monitor individual and team KPIs; drive continuous improvement and accountability
Identify and successfully deploy changes aimed to improve negotiation processes
Develop and refine negotiation protocols and communication standards
Ensure compliance with ethical standards and firm policies in all negotiations

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in personal injury law, with a strong focus on pre-litigation negotiations
Manager experience (i.e. a direct manager of employees)
At least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role within a law firm, legal department, or similar operations or service environment
Demonstrated success in independently negotiating and resolving personal injury claims
In-depth understanding of insurance policies, liability, damages, and the claims process
Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
Must be able to work in-office full-time at our Atlanta location (30328)

Desired Skills :

5+ years of management experience
Previous experience leading a team of 10 or more individuals
