Mail Processor I

Experience Level: 0–5 Years
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Location - Atlanta, Ga 30308

Position Summary

The Mail Processor I supports daily mailroom operations by receiving, sorting, preparing, and processing incoming and outgoing mail. This role assists with bill insertion operations and ensures accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

This is an early morning, short-term assignment requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities

Mail Processing & Distribution

Receive and sort incoming mail, packages, and deliveries
Prepare outgoing mail, including letters and bulk mailings
Assist operator with bill inserter machine (training provided)
Maintain accuracy and quality standards in all mail processing activities

Operational Support

Load and unload trays of mail onto pallets
Operate a pallet jack
Assist with office supply management and equipment maintenance
Support additional tasks impacting mailroom operations

Administrative & Recordkeeping

Perform basic data entry and record-keeping tasks
Maintain organized documentation related to mail processing

Work Area Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mailroom
Follow safety standards and procedures

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Comfortable working in a noisy environment (hearing protection provided)
Ability to operate a pallet jack
Early morning availability required

Required Qualifications

0–5 years of related experience
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow procedures and safety standards
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
