Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join a rapidly expanding, high-volume Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. This position supports a premier maternity and newborn care center that averages 1,400–1,500 NICU/SCN admissions annually.

You will work within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment committed to innovation, excellence, and compassionate care for medically fragile and critically ill newborns.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advanced clinical management for critically ill and premature newborns within a high-acuity Level III NICU environment.
Deliver individualized, evidence-based care to medically complex neonates.
Collaborate closely within a comprehensive multidisciplinary team, including Neonatologists, Pediatric Intensivists, Newborn Nursery Pediatricians, specialized genetics experts, and dedicated clinical research nurses.
Participate in complex clinical decision-making, newborn stabilization, and ongoing intensive care treatment planning.
Work 24-hour NICU shifts with schedule flexibility built into the rotation.

Submission & Position Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited program [Required]
Certification: Current APRN national specialty certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner [Required]
Training: Completion of a dedicated Neonatology training program or Fellowship [Required - No Exemptions]
Experience: Proven post-licensure Neonatology clinical experience; experienced providers preferred. Mentorship paths may be available for highly qualified new graduates with strong residency/fellowship training.
Licensure: Active State Advanced Practice Nurse License (or eligibility/willingness to obtain) [Required prior to start]
Credentials: Active DEA registration [Required prior to start]
Background: Clean malpractice and licensing history; must provide a recent NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days active) at the time of presentation.

Schedule

24-hour shifts (exact start/end times to be discussed during interview)
Weekend rotation as required by the unit schedule
