Worship Team Musician (Multiple Positions Available)Job Summary
We are seeking talented, dependable musicians to join our Sunday Worship Team. We currently have openings for a Singer/Guitarist, Pianist, Bassist, and Percussionist. If you have a heart for worship, enjoy working collaboratively with other musicians, and desire to help lead meaningful worship experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
Our worship style blends traditional hymns with contemporary worship music in a warm, welcoming church environment. Team members work closely with the Worship Director to create engaging and Christ-centered worship services.

Compensation
$100–$150 per Sunday (based on experience and qualifications)
Time Commitment
Approximately 4 hours per week:
- 1.5-hour weekly rehearsal
- Sunday morning worship service (approximately 2.5 hours)
General Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship services.
- Prepare assigned music before rehearsals.
- Work collaboratively with the Worship Director and fellow musicians.
- Support congregational worship with musical excellence and humility.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
- Follow service plans, musical arrangements, and transitions.
Position-Specific Responsibilities
Singer/Guitarist
- Lead or support congregational singing.
- Provide acoustic or electric guitar accompaniment.
- Perform hymns, contemporary worship songs, and other service music.
- Coordinate song keys, arrangements, and transitions with the Worship Director.
Qualifications
- Proficiency on acoustic or electric guitar.
- Ability to read chord charts and lead sheets.
- Strong vocal ability with clear diction and confident stage presence.
Pianist
- Accompany congregational singing and vocalists.
- Perform preludes, offertories, postludes, and special music as needed.
- Collaborate with the Worship Director to create smooth musical transitions.
- Provide accompaniment during prayers, Scripture readings, and other reflective moments when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Strong piano proficiency.
- Ability to sight-read hymnal arrangements and lead sheets.
- Comfortable improvising or playing softly underneath spoken portions of the service.
Bassist
- Provide the harmonic foundation and rhythmic support for the worship team.
- Lock in rhythmically with the percussionist to maintain a steady tempo.
- Adapt playing style for both traditional hymns and contemporary worship arrangements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency on electric or upright bass.
- Ability to read chord charts.
- Strong listening skills and sensitivity to ensemble dynamics.
Percussionist
- Provide rhythmic support that enhances congregational worship without overpowering the ensemble.
- Play with appropriate dynamics using cajón, djembe, light drum kit, brushes, rods, shakers, or similar percussion instruments.
- Maintain consistent tempo and follow the Worship Director's musical cues.
Qualifications
- Experience playing percussion in worship, orchestral, or contemporary settings.
- Strong sense of timing and musical dynamics.
- Ability to adapt playing style to the needs of each service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience performing in a church or worship setting.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- A genuine desire to support the ministry of the church through music.
