Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper/Office Manager to oversee all financial and administrative functions within our organization. This pivotal role combines comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities with office management duties, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting software, financial systems, and bookkeeping standards, enabling them to maintain precise records, reconcile accounts, and support organizational growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization that values accuracy, efficiency, and proactive management.

Duties

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, or similar platforms, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
Process payroll accurately and timely while managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal review and external reporting.
Maintain the integrity of financial data through journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping practices, and account reconciliation procedures.
Oversee office operations including supply management, scheduling, correspondence handling, and administrative support.
Coordinate budgeting processes and assist with financial planning to support organizational goals.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls while supporting audits and financial reviews.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or full charge bookkeeper with strong knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online).
Demonstrated expertise in corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and public accounting procedures.
Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), financial report writing, and account reconciliation techniques.
Strong understanding of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and bank reconciliation processes.
Experience with payroll processing and managing accounts payable/receivable workflows.
Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, account analysis, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience working with accounting software like QuickBooks Online or Sage is highly preferred; familiarity with nonprofit accounting is a plus.
