Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Agent to join our vibrant property management team. In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador for our residential communities, responsible for leasing activities, tenant relations, and administrative support. Your energetic approach will help foster positive relationships with residents and prospects alike, ensuring smooth property operations and maximizing occupancy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in property management, leasing, and customer service within a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence.

Duties

Manage the leasing process from prospecting to lease signing, including conducting property tours and explaining lease terms clearly and confidently
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property availability, rental rates, and leasing policies using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite
Assist prospective tenants with application procedures, including screening processes for Section 8 and other subsidized housing programs
Support lease or rental agreement management by preparing contracts, amendments, and renewal notices while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law
Handle client communication professionally via phone, email, and in person to address inquiries, schedule showings, and resolve issues promptly
Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance requests to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards
Assist in budgeting activities, rent collection, data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records of leasing transactions and tenant files
Collaborate with team members on conflict management situations while maintaining a positive customer service experience for residents and prospects

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 housing programs
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to negotiate lease terms and upsell rental units while maintaining integrity and professionalism
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with experience managing contracts and legal documents
Office experience combined with strong organizational skills for data entry, filing, and administrative support
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in facilities management or property maintenance is a plus
