Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) For Primary Care & Wellness @ Apex Vitality Health

Apex Vitality Health is a growing, physician-led primary care and wellness practice focused on comprehensive, personalized, evidence-based care. We are looking for an energetic, compassionate, and proactive Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) who is passionate about patient care and excited to grow with our practice.

This is an opportunity for an experienced NP who wants to become an integral part of a collaborative clinical team rather than simply fill scheduled hours. The ideal candidate will be willing to start part-time and grow into a larger role, potentially transitioning to full-time as Apex Vitality Health expands.

Position

Position: Part-Time Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care & Wellness
Practice: Apex Vitality Health
Location: McKinney, Texas
Schedule: Primarily after-hours and Saturday coverage, with potential to expand as the practice grows

Expected Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 5:00 PM–8:00 PM
Friday: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
Saturday: As needed, approximately 2 Saturdays per month, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
Additional hours may become available as the practice grows.
The long-term goal is for the right candidate to grow from part-time toward full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care for adult and family medicine patients.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
Develop evidence-based, individualized treatment plans.
Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
Prescribe medications appropriately and safely within state and practice guidelines.
Provide preventive care, health education, and wellness counseling.
Participate in physician-guided weight management and wellness services as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW).
Communicate effectively with patients and provide clear education regarding their conditions and treatment plans.
Collaborate closely with Dr. Naveed and the clinical team.
Assist the physician with patient care and clinical responsibilities.
Be available to provide clinical coverage for the physician when needed and within the NP's scope of practice.
Recognize when physician consultation, referral, or escalation of care is appropriate.
Help develop and improve clinical workflows as the practice continues to grow.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

Active Texas Nurse Practitioner licensure.
Current national board certification as an FNP or ANP.
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in family practice, internal medicine, or primary care.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills.
Ability to make sound, evidence-based clinical decisions.
Experience managing both acute and chronic conditions.
Excellent communication and patient-education skills.
Strong documentation skills and the ability to efficiently use eClinicalWorks (eCW).
Current BLS certification and all required professional credentials/certifications.
Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek physician guidance.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills & Additional Opportunities

Experience or certification in the following areas is a plus but not required:

Aesthetic medicine
Microneedling
Dermal fillers or other aesthetic procedures
Cosmetic consultations
Wellness and functional medicine
Weight management
Preventive medicine
IV therapy or other wellness services

Apex Vitality Health plans to expand and add medical spa and aesthetic services in the future, so hands-on aesthetic experience and relevant certifications will be highly valued and may provide opportunities for additional responsibilities as those services develop.
