Your Role:
This position is primarily responsible for performing routine activities on moderately complex to complex laboratory instrumentation. Assignments are completed by independently following technical documents associated with review, QC testing and detailed reporting of new and internal use instruments in an in-house factory service center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control tasks of new instruments on arrival.
- Support the logistics associated with new, loaner, demo and trade show instruments; including set-up, review, QC, pack-up and physical movement to and from warehouse.
- Complete comprehensive written service reports as for assigned activities.
- Move new large instruments in and out of the service center and crates and uncrates instruments.
- Manage own spare parts inventory including ordering, receiving, counting, reconciling and merchandising.
- Support Technician I class employees in the completion of their work.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required; A minimum of 2 years' work experience in a technical, mechanical or highly detail-oriented function.
Knowledge:
- Must have knowledge of and be comfortable working with potentially bio-hazardous materials.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong PC and use of PC applications.
Prefer:
- Continuing education in a technical or mechanical discipline.
- Strong understanding of technical protocols, basic electronic test equipment and mechanical skills.

Work in this role is done in laboratories, offices, manufacturing suites, cleanrooms, mechanical spaces, and warehouses. Work may occur in other locations as required. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn. All persons performing this job will receive appropriate training prior to engaging in work requiring PPE. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature.
The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $22/hr-$25/hr, reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of considerations, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
