Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Back Office Medical Assistant with dermatology or healthcare experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a dermatology practice. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a high demand setting.

Duties

Assist healthcare providers with procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Provide direct patient care, including rooming patients, preparing patients for examinations and documenting medical history. Assist in surgical excision, biopsies, etc.
Manage medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records and handling correspondence.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
Maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently.
Provide exceptional patient service and support throughout their visit.
Support geriatric care by understanding the unique needs of older patients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide effective patient care.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dermatology.
Proficiency in EHR systems for managing patient information effectively.
Previous experience in dermatology is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion for patients.
Ability to commute to both our Auburn and Rocklin offices.

Basic Job Details

30 hours per week at a minimum (Tuesday-Friday)
8am - 5 pm daily
Willing to hire Pre-PA!

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
