Full Job Description

Accepting applicants for RECREATION BUILDING MONITOR for the Lewiston Recreation Department. Applications and additional information is available at the Human Resources office or online at www.lewistonmaine.gov

GENERAL INFORMATION: Department: Recreation

Barg. Unit: Non-Union

Status: Part Time (5-15 hours/week)

Schedule: Based on demand.

Pay Rate: $16-18 depending on experience

Reliable transportation is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must have high school diploma, or equivalent. Previous customer service experience is helpful, but not required. Must have the ability to reliably follow procedures and work independently. Must have experience with, and enjoy working with all members of the public.

WORK ACTIVITIES: Responsible for opening and supervising the Lewiston Armory during recreation programs and rentals. Ensures safety and wellbeing of program participants and visitors. Provides excellent customer service to all patrons. Assists with setting up/breaking down basic recreation equipment, such as volleyball nets, tables/chairs, raising/lowering basketball hoops, pickleball nets, etc. Completes some light janitorial duties. Secures building after each event. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
