As a Commercial Lines Account Manager (internally known as Client Specialist), you will manage and service an assigned book of commercial clients, work closely with our Commercial Risk Consultants, work hand in hand with our experienced Commercial Marketing team and collaborate with carrier partners to support renewals, coverage needs, policy changes, and ongoing account strategy.

What You’ll Do

You will be a key point of contact for assigned Commercial Lines clients and a trusted partner to the internal team supporting their accounts.

Manage and service an assigned book of Commercial Lines clients
Build strong client relationships through responsive, accurate, and professional service
Answer coverage questions and assist with policy changes, exclusions, endorsements, and additional coverage needs
Coordinate and support the renewal process from planning through completion
Collaborate with our in-house Commercial Marketing team to help secure competitive coverage solutions for clients
Prepare renewal submissions and work with carrier partners to obtain needed information and solutions
Identify potential coverage gaps and partner with Commercial Risk Consultants on client needs and risk-management opportunities
Process and coordinate policy changes and other account activity
Develop strong working relationships with underwriters and insurance carrier partners
Help resolve client and carrier issues with a practical, solutions-focused approach
Maintain accurate, timely account documentation and follow-through
Support retention by delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Active New York State Property & Casualty License
Commercial Lines insurance experience
Working knowledge of Commercial Lines coverages and policies
Strong client service and relationship-building skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Preferred:

2+ years of Commercial Lines insurance experience
Applied Epic experience
Insurance designations or advanced industry training
