Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team. If you are a person of high integrity with excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you! The ideal candidate will assist in the underwriting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Interact with agents via email and telephone in a professional, respectful, and friendly manner.
2. Review and process new business applications. Follow up to obtain missing information, review loss reports and order inspections, if necessary.
3. Order and review pre-renewal and some new business inspections.
4. Send audit requests to the insured, process received information and document the audit file.
5. Process endorsements, return mail, cancellations and reinstatements.
6. Assist with other employees’ work when they are out of the office, to keep up with company service goals. This could include responding to emails sent to Underwriters and answering eligibility questions.
7. Assist Underwriters in preparing business quotes.
8. Attend and participate in underwriting and company meetings.
9. Maintain a working knowledge of company products and programs.
11. Check the underwriting department’s e-mails and e-fax daily. Handle routine situations and, if necessary, distribute contents to the appropriate people.
12. Renew policies that do not automatically renew.

Required Skills and Education:
Associate degree or equivalent office experience
Skilled in computers and keyboarding with the ability to learn new systems and software
Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
High attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desired:
Company or agency experience in the property and casualty field of work
Will train individuals with excellent customer service abilities and transferable administrative skills.
This position may include working hybrid upon meeting eligibility criteria and being fully trained.
