About Us

Learning to Thrive is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Job Coaches to support adults with developmental disabilities in building independence, confidence, and meaningful employment opportunities within the Roseville community.

We especially encourage applicants with hands-on experience in skilled trades industries—including construction, landscaping, automotive, warehouse, manufacturing, maintenance, culinary, janitorial, or similar fields—who are interested in mentoring and coaching others toward workplace success.

If you enjoy teaching practical job skills, supporting personal growth, and making a positive impact in your community, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Support participants in employment and pre-employment skill development
Provide individualized coaching in workplace and community settings
Teach workplace expectations, communication, and job task completion
Assist participants in developing independence, confidence, and social skills
Facilitate inclusive community activities and employment readiness training
Ensure participant safety, engagement, and well-being at all times
Complete daily documentation, progress notes, and individualized plans accurately
Provide mentorship and guidance to new staff members when needed

Preferred Background

We highly value candidates with experience in:

Construction
Landscaping
Automotive or mechanical work
Warehouse or logistics
Manufacturing
Custodial or maintenance services
Food service or culinary industries
Other skilled trade or hands-on work environments

Previous coaching, training, mentoring, or leadership experience is a plus.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to travel locally throughout Placer County (Roseville)
DOJ clearance (Live Scan)
CPR and First Aid certification
Negative TB test and physical exam
Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills
Basic computer skills (Email, Internet, Microsoft Office)
