[Mission of the Role]
As a Project Controller, you will provide the planning, tracking, and reporting backbone for our AD and ADAS programs, giving project managers and leadership a single, reliable view of schedule, budget, resources, and quality across all regions. You will not own customer deliverables directly; instead, you will make sure every program is planned consistently, measured against the same metrics, and escalated early when it drifts from plan.
In this capacity, you will work across the US, Asia, and Europe project teams as well as Functional Safety, Quality, Finance, and HR, consolidating program data into management reporting and safeguarding that project execution follows our defined processes. You will also support ASPICE and ISO 26262 process compliance by tracking work products, milestones, and evidence across programs.
[Key Responsibilities]
- Build and maintain integrated project schedules across programs, keeping milestones, dependencies, and critical paths accurate and up to date.
- Track budget, headcount allocation, and resource loading against plan, and flag variances to project managers and leadership.
- Consolidate program status into recurring management reporting — dashboards, KPI packs, and steering committee material — with consistent definitions across regions.
- Maintain the risk, issue, and action item register across programs, driving owners to closure and escalating aging items.
- Support ASPICE and ISO 26262 process compliance by tracking required work products, review evidence, and milestone gate readiness across projects.
- Prepare and facilitate gate reviews, project audits, and lessons-learned sessions, capturing outcomes and follow-up actions.
- Standardize project management templates, tooling, and reporting cadence, and coach project teams on their consistent use.
- Analyze project metrics (timing, effort, quality, and cost) to surface trends, forecast risk, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate cross-region planning cycles, aligning US, Asia, and Europe teams on shared resources and release calendars.
- Exhibit exceptional multitasking skills to manage overlapping tasks, competing priorities, and dynamic project requirements effectively.
[Basic Qualifications]
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project control, PMO, program planning, or a related role.
- Hands-on proficiency with project scheduling and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence) and advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Demonstrated ability to consolidate data from multiple teams into clear, decision-ready reporting for leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively and efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and process discipline.
- Effective communication skills across various levels of an organization and across cultures.
[Preferred Qualificaitons]
- Experience in the automotive industry, ideally supporting AD/ADAS or embedded software programs.
- Working knowledge of automotive processes (e.g. ASPICE, ISO 26262) and their required work products.
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
- Familiarity with earned value management or comparable cost and schedule performance techniques.
[Application]
- Required: Resume / Thesis (for those who have a Master’s degree or above.)
- Optional: Cover Letter, Research/Project Portfolio (including publications, open-source projects, or patents), Other theses
- Please include detailed information on your relevant work or research experience in your résumé and/or portfolio.
