Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper/office manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including QBS and bill.com. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Because we are only in our 2nd year and growing, this is a great opportunity to join our team with opportunity to eventually become full time

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
Prepare journal entries and maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions.
Assist in budgeting processes by providing financial forecasts and analyses.
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.
Stay updated on financial regulations, tax laws, and best practices in accounting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred(not required)
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks is required
Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and technical accounting principles.
Excellent skills in financial report writing and bookkeeping practices.
Familiarity with account reconciliation processes and budgeting techniques.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis.
Proficient typing skills (10 key typing) for data entry tasks.
