Administrative Assistant — Part-Time, Mostly Remote/Hybrid

Pay: $15.00 per hour
Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week to start
Location: Augusta/Evans, Georgia area
Work arrangement: Primarily remote, with some in-office and community-based responsibilities

Job Overview

Legacy Marriage Resources is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our counseling practice.

This is a part-time position beginning at approximately 20–25 hours per week at $15 per hour. The position will be performed primarily remotely but will require occasional work at our office and within the Augusta-area community. Applicants should live within reasonable traveling distance of the Augusta/Evans area.

The specific work schedule will be discussed during the interview process and determined based on the needs of the practice. As our practice grows, there may be opportunities for increased hours, additional responsibilities, advancement, and possible full-time employment in the future.

Responsibilities

Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries in a professional, timely, warm, and courteous manner
Serve as a helpful first point of contact for prospective and current clients
Schedule, confirm, and manage client appointments and calendars
Assist new clients with the intake process, forms, and general scheduling questions
Assist with event planning, coordination, marketing activities, and community outreach
Perform general clerical duties, including printing, copying, organizing documents, and preparing materials
Monitor and maintain office supplies as needed
Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, company statistics, and administrative reports
Prepare, format, and transcribe documents as needed
Support social media, email marketing, online reviews, and other practice-development activities
Maintain the confidentiality of client and business information
Assist with additional administrative and office-management responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience as a mental health office assistant, medical receptionist, dental receptionist, administrative assistant, or office assistant is preferred
Strong phone etiquette and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to respond to clients with warmth, professionalism, patience, and empathy
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through on responsibilities
Ability to work independently while remaining responsive and connected to the team
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Comfortable learning and using practice-management and communication systems
Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Slides
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF documents
Experience with SimplePractice or another electronic health record system is a plus
Reliable transportation and the ability to complete occasional in-office and community-based responsibilities

Some in-office and Augusta-area community work will be required
Schedule and hours will be determined based on the needs of the practice
