Full Job Description

Job purpose

To provide the highest quality inspection services and written reports to each client with unmatched service and professionalism.

Duties and responsibilities
Monitor the calendar and prepare for upcoming orders.
· Review order, confirm access, ensure equipment is charged and stocked in truck.
Perform inspections, produce written report, upload and deliver reports
· Arrive 15 min early, meet client conduct expectation management procedure
· Collect missing signatures, waivers, contracts and payments
· Complete inspections and written reports per company policy
· Complete report review and consultation with client per company policy
· Place leave behind materials
· Perform final walk through and secure the home before leaving
· Upload all reports, attachments, payment documentation and cover photo
Complete required continuing education hours
· Complete CE courses as required per licensing
Company vehicle use
· Report any maintenance needs to inspection manager
· Keep vehicle clean and presentable at all times
· Keep vehicle stocked with necessary equipment and materials
· Operate in a cautious and safe manner
Attend bi weekly staff meetings
Perform data backups to external hard drive
Re-stock vehicle with inspection supplies and documents
Submit outstanding documents and payments
Review and discuss any callbacks
Review and discuss Report QA results
Present suggested process and reporting improvements to the group for discussion
Complete report template updates

Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED
· Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for commercial policy insurance
· MUST HAVE HOME INSPECTOR LICENSE IN SOUTH CAROLINA
· Pass national exam
· Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
· Climb up and down ladders.
· Comfortable in confined spaces.
· Comfortable with heights and walking roofs.
· Able to crawl through crawlspaces and attics
Working conditions

Hours may begin as early as 8:00 AM with the last appointment beginning no later than 5:00 PM
Some Saturday appointments are required
Extreme conditions will occasionally exist such as exposure to rain, snow and ice
Elevated heat especially in attics in the summer
Not all homes will have utilities on and will remain unconditioned
Confined areas such as crawlspaces and attics must be entered and inspected
High step roofs must be climbed on and walked when safe to do so
Communicating with home sellers, home buyers and their perspective real estate agents can often become uncomfortable due to the heightened emotions of all involved

Physical requirements

· Able to lift and carry 50lbs
· Ability to physically withstand up to 4 hour periods of intermittent standing, climbing, stooping, stretching and crawling
· Ability to climb up and down ladders
· Comfortable in confined spaces
· Comfortable with heights and walking roofs
· Ability to crawl through crawlspaces and attics
