Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. Placement at the Maintenance Mechanic I, II, or III level will be determined based on experience, technical skills, and demonstrated abilities. This position will train on 1st or 2nd and move to 3rd shift.
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment. Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance Mechanic I
· Perform basic maintenance operations and preventive maintenance procedures.
· Efficiently operate hand tools and power tools.
· Replace machine parts and components as directed.
· Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter changes, and lubrication.
· Assist with machinery and equipment changeovers.
· Assist Maintenance Mechanics II and III with repairs and troubleshooting.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Follow instructions from supervisors, department leads, and management personnel.
Maintenance Mechanic II
In addition to Level I responsibilities:
· Knowledge of (110V) Electrical. Wiring receptacles/fixtures/sensor replacement or installations.
· Knowledge of (480V) Electrical. Replacement of motors and peripheral equipment (drives, relays, etc.).
· Basic troubleshooting skills with non-PLC equipment, using equipment drawings, multi-meter and input from production operators.
· Perform belt/chain/sprocket/cylinder/shaft/mechanical component replacements.
· Complete all Preventative Maintenance in assigned work area.
· Support installation and modification of machinery and equipment.
· Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately.
Maintenance Mechanic III
In addition to Level I and II responsibilities:
- Knowledge of (24VDC) Electrical. Wiring/sensor replacement or installation
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with PLC equipment, using PLC & HMI screens.
- Rebuild pumps, gear boxes, cylinders & other department Specific equipment.
- Operator cutting torch & welding equipment.
Safety Requirements
- Work in a drug-free, team-oriented environment.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, company safety policies, and established procedures.
- Safely work around hazardous materials, including lead and sulfuric acid.
- Comply with all facility hygiene and decontamination requirements, including showering before leaving the premises when required.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
Qualifications
Maintenance Mechanic I
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics preferred.
Maintenance Mechanic II
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment with limited supervision.
- Experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Maintenance Mechanic III
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring team members.
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ pounds.
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces as necessary.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to wear a respirator and other required PPE.
Schedule & Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skills, and placement within the Maintenance Mechanic I, II, or III level structure.

Pay: $20.02 - $32.37 per hour
