Full Job Description

Job Title: Medical Assistant
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Reports To: Office Manager and Clinical Manager

Position Summary:

Assist the provider with all aspects of patient care including but not limited to time of service patient triage, results follow up and patient communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, sign and maintain all clinical protocols as relayed by the Clinical Manager.
Assist assigned provider by gathering clinical information and entering it into the EHR.
Respond, resolve, and document all patient correspondence.
Ensure accurate documentation with a clear audit trail.
Ensure MIPS compliance throughout the clinical workflow.
Complete time of service patient triage including but not limited to obtaining medical history, medications and vitals.
Complete any and all medication pre-authorizations.
Monitor all orders entered by assigned provider to ensure each order is completed timely based on clinical protocols.
Perform other tasks as needed or directed by the Company's management team.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in urology or specialty care.
Experience working with Allscripts PM and EHR preferred.
Familiarity with Providerflow or similar fax management systems is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

Work Environment:

Standard office and clinical environment.
Must be able to be active and mobile for an eight hour period.
Occasional lifting of office supplies or materials up to 20 lbs may be required.
