DESCRIPTION
As a Finance Intern at Maxwell TEC, you’ll gain hands-on experience in both finance and accounting, supporting day-to-day business operations. You’ll assist with data entry, credit card reconciliations, and bookkeeping in QuickBooks, helping ensure accurate records and smooth financial workflows. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a career in finance or accounting who’s eager to build practical skills in a collaborative environment. This position reports to the VP of Finance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Enter and categorize expenses in QuickBooks.
- Enter and categorize historical data in QuickBooks.
- Record and reconcile monthly credit card transactions.
- Review and approve expense invoices from independent contractors.
- Assist with invoice tracking and vendor payments.
- Support monthly reporting and budget preparation.
- Organize digital receipts and maintain financial records.
- Help identify discrepancies or areas needing follow-up.
GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES
- Some travel may be required.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.

- Ability to frequently sit, talk or hear, use hands, grasp, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. REQUIRED
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to work 15-30 hours per week
