Full Job Description

30 Hours Per Week with Benefits

Under the supervision of the Finance Director, performs duties involved to process all accounts payable transactions in an orderly, timely, and accurate manner. Perform other tasks, as assigned that relate to the operation of the fiscal office.

Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts. Verify the accuracy of all bills, which includes ensuring computations, extensions, authorizations, and documentation are correct. Process all manual and void voucher checks thru the GMS Accounting System. Reconcile and correct any debit or credit balances that may appear on vendor statements. Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work with minimal supervision. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) preferred. High school diploma or equivalent with Vocational/Technical School or College, or at least two years’ experience. Must possess valid driver’s license, vehicle, a good driving record, and appropriate vehicle insurance coverage.
