Build a Career Doing What You Love
Colfax Strong Strength & Conditioning is looking for an experienced full-time CrossFit Coach and Personal Trainer who loves coaching, cares deeply about people, and wants to build a long-term career in the fitness industry.
We are a community-focused strength and conditioning gym in Denver serving people across a wide range of ages, abilities, and fitness levels — from someone walking into a gym for the first time to experienced competitive athletes.
For us, great coaching is about much more than running a great workout. It's about knowing your members, paying attention to the details, providing an exceptional experience, and helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident.
We're looking for someone who takes that responsibility seriously.
Who We're Looking For
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Genuinely love coaching and helping people
- Build relationships easily and enjoy being part of a community
- Hold yourself to a high standard of professionalism
- Care about the details and the overall member experience
- Are comfortable coaching athletes of widely different ages and ability levels
- Welcome feedback and are committed to continually improving as a coach
- Work well as part of a team and are willing to contribute beyond your coaching hours
- Are dependable, prepared, positive, and proactive
- Want to find a gym where you can grow and stay long-term
What You'll Do
As a full-time coach at Colfax Strong, your role will include a combination of group coaching, personal training, member development, and gym operations.
Your week will typically include:
- 15–20 hours of large-group coaching
- 5–10 hours of personal and semi-private training
- 5–10 hours of member support and gym operations
Responsibilities include:
- Coaching group CrossFit / strength & conditioning classes for all experience levels
- Delivering high-quality personal and semi-private training
- Creating customized programming for personal and semi-private clients
- Conducting goal-setting and progress-review sessions with members
- Building relationships with members and celebrating their progress
- Helping create a welcoming, fun, and motivating training environment
- Assisting the General Manager and owners with facility management and day-to-day gym needs
- Supporting gym events, community activities, and special initiatives
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, professional facility
- Continuing to develop your skills through ongoing coaching feedback and professional development
Compensation & Schedule
Salary: $55,000–$60,000 per year, depending on experience
This is a full-time salaried position, not a part-time class-coaching role.
Most large-group coaching hours will be in the morning, with additional personal training, semi-private training, member goal reviews, and gym operations responsibilities scheduled throughout the week.
Weekend coaching responsibilities are shared among our coaching team.
