Please note: Our facility is maintained at cold temperatures in a wet production environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions, roughly degrees or less daily.
Job Summary
The Production Operator is an integral part of our production team, responsible for operating and monitoring juice processing equipment, maintaining strict quality and food safety standards, and supporting a clean, efficient, and safe production floor at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively work the production line as a core team member throughout each shift
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot juice processing machinery including mixers, blenders, fillers, and pressing equipment
- Prepare raw ingredients and materials for processing, ensuring proper handling and readiness for production runs
- Execute juice pressing, blending, and recipe preparation in accordance with established formulas and procedures
- Regulate machine flow, speed, and temperature to meet production specifications
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions — stop machinery as needed, clear jams, and report issues to the appropriate team member
- Observe machine operations continuously to verify that filled and packaged products meet quality and conformity standards
- Adhere to and champion strict quality control protocols to ensure the highest standard of product integrity
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of all production equipment; coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with the maintenance team
- Monitor and adjust machine settings in real time to meet daily production quotas
- Communicate proactively — report both anticipated and unresolved issues to supervisors without delay
- Package finished products into appropriate containers and prepare shipments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area at all times in accordance with food safety standards
- Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and PPE requirements to uphold a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment; food and beverage experience is required
- Demonstrated ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-first mindset
Preferred Competencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced production schedule, including occasional shift adjustments
- Working knowledge of food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and hygiene regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, sound decisions on the production floor
- Detail-oriented and highly organized; capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently, setting priorities, and following through to completion
- Effective conflict resolution skills and a positive, professional attitude
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will regularly be required to:
- Stand, walk, sit, twist, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch for extended periods
- Repetitively use hands to handle, move, and/or lift objects — up to 50 lbs
- Communicate clearly in an environment with reasonable manufacturing noise levels
- Utilize specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required (specify gear here)
Work Environment
- Temperature-variable environment — fluctuating between refrigerated and non-refrigerated production areas
- Wet production environment with regular exposure to water, juice, and cleaning agents
- Noise levels consistent with active juicing machinery and production equipment
Schedule & Hours
- Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (weekends as needed based on production demands)
- Shift: Expected start time of 7:00 AM; end time is flexible based on daily production needs — occasional overtime required
