Full Job Description

1) Job Experience

a. High School Diploma, Technical Trade School, or GED required.

b. 7 to 10 years minimum experience working in a manufacturing machining environment.

c. 7 to 10 years minimum experience programming, setting up and operating HAAS CNC milling and CNC lathe equipment. Knowledge of Bobcat software or equivalent would be helpful.

d. 7+ years’ experience programming at the machine controls using G code.

e. 7+ years’ experience in a close tolerance manufacturing environment work with, different metals, aluminum, and castings.

2) Job Expectations

a. Follow company’s health and safety policies.

b. Wear required safety equipment that complies with tasks being performed.

c. Fill out required daily time sheets and work orders.

d. The goal is to maintain daily work order labor efficiency of 85%.

e. Use hand tools and manual machines as needed.

f. Write programs for new and existing parts.

g. Perform machine set-ups as required.

h. Download and Upload programs into CNC machine, and make minor programming adjustments as needed.

i. Make adjustments to offset coordinates to compensate for materials, tooling or machine center.

j. Operate many different types of CNC machines to manufacture a finished machined product by performing a wide range of machining operations within tight tolerances.

k. Work with supervisor, programmer and support staff to resolve machining issues as required.

l. May be required to operate 2 to 3 machines depending on product mix.

m. Inspect own work for correct dimensions and ensure all drawing specification are met. Verify dimensions of product for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.

n. Able to read and interpret blue prints.

o. Clean work area at the end of each day.

p. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
