ABOUT WORK SHOP COLORADO
Our Woodshop, located in northwest Denver, is where we build custom cabinetry, millwork, and finish carpentry for a wide range of clients. We produce all cabinetry for Work Shop Colorado's own luxury custom homes and designer-curated communities, for outside builders and general contractors, and for direct clients who come to us for one-of-a-kind pieces.
That mix is what makes the shop a great place to grow. On any given week you might be running cabinet boxes for a production community, building a one-off statement piece for a custom home, and prepping millwork for an outside builder's project — all in the same space, with the same team. The variety keeps the work interesting and exposes our craftsmen to a broader range of techniques and materials than a typical cabinet shop.
We take pride in doing it right. The cabinetry, built-ins, and custom pieces leaving our shop go into homes families will live with for generations, and we treat every job — ours or someone else's — that way.
THE ROLE
We're hiring someone who's spent at least some time in a wood shop — enough to know how one runs, handle the tools without a lot of hand-holding, and hold themselves accountable to quality work. You don't need to have seen everything, but you shouldn't be starting from zero either.
In this role, you'll build custom cabinetry and millwork for high-end residential projects — from rough cuts to assembly, edge banding, sanding, and prep for finish. You'll work alongside skilled craftsmen in a shop that values accuracy, craftsmanship, and steady progress. The mix of work we do — production communities, one-off custom pieces, outside builder projects — means the variety is real and the learning doesn't stop.
GROWTH PATH
We believe in promoting from within. If you show up, work hard, and learn quickly, there is upward movement available — in pay, in responsibility, and in the kind of work you get to do. Our shop is growing, and the people who grow with it are the ones we lean on most. How fast you advance is up to you.
