Full Job Description

Overview:

Salt Creek Ballet (SCB) is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Marketing & Communications Coordinator to create, coordinate, and execute the organization's marketing and communications activities. This highly visible position plays an important role in promoting Salt Creek Ballet's programs and performances, strengthening brand awareness, increasing student enrollment and ticket sales, supporting fundraising initiatives, and maintaining consistent communication with students, families, patrons, donors, sponsors, alumni, and the community.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. This individual should be able to work independently while collaborating closely with staff and leadership to implement marketing initiatives that support the organization's mission and goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Marketing & Brand Communications

Create, coordinate, and execute marketing initiatives that support organizational goals.
Maintain consistent Salt Creek Ballet branding
Assist in promoting performances, school programs, fundraising initiatives, outreach events, and special events.
Collaborate with staff to implement seasonal campaigns and promotional calendars.
Help increase student enrollment, audience attendance, ticket sales, community awareness, and donor engagement through effective marketing efforts.
Maintain clear and timely communication with students, parents, faculty, volunteers, and staff.

Content Creation & Creative Design

Design marketing materials
Create engaging content for digital and print communications.
Capture and edit photography and short-form videos for marketing purposes.
Assist in developing storytelling content highlighting performances, students, faculty, alumni, donors, sponsors, and community partnerships

Website

Maintain and update the Salt Creek Ballet website.
Ensure content remains accurate, engaging, visually appealing, and current.
Monitor website functionality and recommend improvements to enhance the user experience.
Maintain school registration and online ticketing and event information.

Social Media & Email Communications

Manage Salt Creek Ballet's social media platforms.
Develop and schedule social media content.
Monitor engagement and respond appropriately.
Assist in growing followers, audience engagement, and community interaction.
Create and distribute weekly newsletters and email communications.
Coordinate promotional email campaigns for performances, registration, fundraising, sponsorships, and special events.

Performance Marketing & Fundraising Support

Assist in marketing performances to increase ticket sales and attendance.
Coordinate promotional materials and advertising for productions, events, and enrollment,
Support and execute Annual Appeal, sponsorship campaigns, donor communications, and fundraising initiatives and related materials.

Internal Communications

Maintain clear and timely communication with students, parents, faculty, volunteers, and staff.
Create school announcements, informational materials, sign-up forms, and event communications.
Maintain communication materials throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, preferred but not required
Experience creating marketing materials using online platforms
Experience managing website content using WordPress.
Experience with social media platforms and email marketing software.
Basic knowledge of digital marketing and website best practices.
Photography and basic video editing experience preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, proofreading, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Professional, positive, collaborative, and customer-service oriented.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
