Full Job Description

Press America, Inc. is a full-service mailer and commercial printer located in Schaumburg, IL. We are currently seeking a full-time Mail Sorter / Mailroom Associate to join our team.

SUMMARY
This position assists in the Mailroom department with sorting, staging, and preparing mail for production and delivery in a fast-paced environment. May also be required to assist in other areas of fulfillment throughout the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Control
Load/unload materials for inserting machines and mail processing equipment
Prepare mail trays, tubs, and sacks for USPS submission
Sleeve, strap, bundle, and tag mail according to postal regulations
Move mail and materials throughout the shop using pallet jacks or carts
Assist with staging jobs for presort, insertion, or shipment
Inspect mail for quality and accuracy prior to dispatch
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist with general shop and production duties as needed
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for mail handling and data security
Take direction from supervisors and lead personnel

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience with presorted mail required
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Attention to detail and accuracy is critical
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
Comfortable standing for extended periods

Because our team members are trusted to handle sensitive information, we require all candidates that receive and accept employment offers to complete a background check. Additional background clearances may be required after employment due to client contract requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
