Overview
We are seeking a motivated Mortgage Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the end-to-end mortgage process, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise will help streamline loan origination, processing, and servicing activities, contributing to our mission of providing reliable mortgage solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare closing documents and disclosures.
- Deliver final closing disclosures to members.
- Work with title companies on wiring instructions for purchases.
- Books loans onto core system.
- Process all fundings for purchase and refinance transactions.
- Finalize all checklists and post-closing worksheets for completion.
- Uploads all required documents to electronic client files.
- Track final title policy and recorded mortgage.
- Back up processing as needed.
Competencies
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of similar or related experience. Appropriate licensure for real estate mortgage origination (Accentra will help in providing this if not present currently).
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, ability to plan, prioritize and work effectively and efficiently.
- Prior lending experience helpful.
- Experience handling high-volume consumer accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing transactions and determining appropriate actions; listen and respond quickly and courteously to member requests; meet and communicate directly with members in a tactful, efficient manner either in person or over the telephone or by correspondence.
- Must be friendly and able to represent the Credit Union in a professional and positive manner.
- Competent with computer technology including our core/LOS system and Microsoft products.
- In depth knowledge of all credit union products and services as well as applicable regulations.
