Job Summary:

We are a well established manufacturer (40 years) looking for a talented and motivated CNC lathe setup/operator machinist to join our manufacturing team. This is a high mix, low volume, high material mix shop. Check us out at www.glemco.com!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, load and operate lathes to shape complex, small-run parts
Interpret technical drawings and other work instructions
Take measurements of parts at setup and completion to determine correctness using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial calipers, depth gages, indicators and scales·
Clean and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on machines, tooling and parts
Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control employees and other personnel for assignments, and to resolve machining or quality issues
Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability
Transact against jobs to ensure that correct and timely information is recorded

Qualifications / Requirements:

2-5 years experience as a lathe setup/operator machinist.
Strong mathematical, writing and communication skills.
