Grants & Data Coordinator

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Location: Austin, TX

Position Overview

Skillpoint Alliance is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and data-savvy professional to serve as our Grants & Data Coordinator. This role plays a critical part in supporting Skillpoint’s mission by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and impact of data across our workforce training programs and grant-funded initiatives statewide.

The ideal candidate is professional, independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally with program staff, leadership, funders, and grant managers. This person will help tell the story of Skillpoint’s impact through strong data management, grant reporting, and proposal support while building positive relationships with external stakeholders.

This position will oversee grant reporting and data coordination for all Skillpoint Alliance locations and programs across all of Skillpoint’s locations (Central Texas, South Central Texas, and Permian Basin) and will report directly to the Development Director. This position will not have direct reports.

Primary Responsibilities

Grants Management & Reporting

Responsible for the preparation and submission of grant reports for government, foundation, and corporate funders across all Skillpoint Alliance locations
Responsible for collecting and properly organizing grant agreements and contracts for easy access by the Skillpoint fundraising team
Collaborate with program managers and leadership teams to collect, analyze, and validate program outcomes and participant data
Ensure compliance with grant deliverables, reporting timelines, and documentation requirements
Support grant proposal development by gathering data, outcomes, success stories, and supporting materials
Assist with grant writing and development of data-informed narratives that demonstrate program impact
Help develop organizational impact reports, including the annual report and other external-facing materials that communicate Skillpoint Alliance’s outcomes and impact to funders, partners, and community stakeholders
Maintain organized digital grant files and reporting documentation
Serve as a professional point of contact with funders and grant managers, helping maintain strong external relationships

Data Management & Systems Coordination

Manage and maintain program data systems and databases to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Mine and analyze data from multiple databases and reporting systems to support grant reports, dashboards, and organizational decision-making
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that communicate program outcomes and workforce impact
Create scalable processes and procedures for data entry, validation, and reporting across programs
Partner with program staff to improve data quality, consistency, and reporting practices
Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Support staff training and documentation related to data systems and reporting processes

Organizational Collaboration

Work closely with program, partnerships, finance, and leadership teams to align reporting and data collection efforts
Help strengthen Skillpoint’s culture of data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement
Support special projects and organizational reporting needs as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in grants management, grant reporting, database management, or nonprofit operations
Demonstrated experience with grant reporting required
Strong experience using databases and data systems to analyze and report outcomes
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating pivot tables, analyzing large datasets, and mining data to identify trends, outcomes, and program impact
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail
Professional presence and ability to build positive relationships with funders and external stakeholders
Experience working in workforce development, education, nonprofit, or human services environments preferred
Experience with CRM or case management systems such as Monday.com, Airtable, or similar platforms preferred

Compensation

$60,000-$65,000 annual
