Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced MDM Architect to join an Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team supporting a large-scale healthcare data environment.
The MDM Architect will design and implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions for a multi-terabyte enterprise environment. This role will work closely with data architects, business analysts, IT teams, data engineers, subject matter experts, and program leadership to develop trusted, governed, and high-quality master data solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Informatica, ETL development, Master Data Management, Enterprise Information Management, data modeling, and enterprise data integration, along with strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaster Data Management & Architecture
- Design and implement enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
- Apply MDM principles, goals, and tools to improve data quality and cross-program data integration.
- Develop and implement new MDM capabilities using the Informatica application tool stack in IDMC.
- Support requirements for mastering critical agency data, identity resolution, trusted attribution, and governed reference data.
- Develop MDM solutions for healthcare provider and managed care member domains.
- Work with data architects, business analysts, subject matter experts, and IT teams to accurately represent current-state and future-state processes involving master data.
- Provide architectural guidance for complex MDM solutions and enterprise data initiatives.
Informatica & ETL
- Develop advanced Informatica and ETL solutions for enterprise data integration.
- Develop ETL processes to load HHS system data into MDM applications using Oracle, Snowflake, and Informatica tools.
- Develop, test, and maintain enhancements and upgrades to MDM application layers.
- Design and implement Informatica PowerCenter custom solutions.
- Manage operational metadata loads.
- Ensure MDM builds and deployments meet applicable IT coding, security, and quality standards.
Data Modeling & Enterprise Information Management
- Apply Enterprise Information Management (EIM) best practices to enterprise data solutions.
- Utilize Erwin, ERStudio, or equivalent data modeling tools.
- Work with existing and future-state HHS data models.
- Support data quality, governance, accessibility, and trusted use of enterprise master data.
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
Agile Development & Deployment
- Plan and monitor MDM and metadata project lifecycle deployments using Agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams through development, testing, deployment, and implementation.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure MDM components are developed and deployed with a high level of quality.
Business & Technical Collaboration
- Work with program areas and project sponsors to plan and execute multiple analytics projects.
- Translate complex technical and data concepts into clear, non-technical language for leadership and program staff.
- Explain project findings, data limitations, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance on interpreting data trends and addressing complex data questions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted technical advisor for MDM and enterprise data solutions.
AI Prompting & Data Synthesis
- Develop and refine effective AI prompts and query strategies for retrieving and synthesizing master data.
- Develop standardized prompts and query templates for common reporting requirements.
- Validate AI-generated outputs and identify potential hallucinations or inaccurate results.
- Ensure data outputs follow applicable reporting standards, data governance, and compliance requirements.
- Stay current with emerging AI and data analytics tools and techniques.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of advanced Informatica and ETL development experience.
- 8+ years of experience with Enterprise Information Management (EIM) best practices.
- 8+ years of experience designing and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
- 8+ years of experience designing and implementing Informatica PowerCenter custom solutions.
- 8+ years of experience with Erwin, ERStudio, or equivalent data modeling toolsets.
- 8+ years of strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- 8+ years of experience successfully working with technical and non-technical groups while managing multiple responsibilities.
- 8+ years of strong technical writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
- 5+ years of experience installing and configuring Informatica Metadata Manager architecture.
- 5+ years of experience architecting Master Data Management solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.

The ideal candidate is a senior MDM Architect with strong Informatica and ETL expertise who can independently design and implement complex enterprise MDM solutions while working effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and technical writing skills are essential.
Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour
