Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Python Developer to join our dynamic team in Austin. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Python development, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to contribute effectively to end‑to‑end project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, microservices, and backend systems.

Build scalable backend solutions using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Develop and maintain secure RESTful APIs, including:
- Token-based authentication (JWT, OAuth2)
-
Role-based access control (RBAC)
-
API throttling, validation, and encryption best practices.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, product owners, and project managers) to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code following Python and security best practices.
-
Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Integrate and manage third‑party APIs and internal services.
-
Design, optimize, and manage databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

Implement and manage application deployment pipelines for development, staging, and production environments.
-
Work with AWS services, including:
- AWS Lambda for serverless computing
-
API Gateway integration
-
S3, CloudWatch, IAM basics
-
Support application monitoring, logging, and alerting in cloud environments.
-
Implement push notification systems (email, SMS, web/mobile notifications) using cloud or third-party services.

Assist with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployments.

Gain hands-on exposure to recent AI tools and platforms such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, GenAI tools, and LLM-based solutions.

Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
-
2–5 years of hands-on experience in Python development.

Strong proficiency in at least one Python web framework (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).

Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and API security concepts.

Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.

Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
-
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.

Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
-
Basic experience with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda preferred).
-
Good communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Good to Have

Experience with React.js or other frontend technologies.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

Experience setting up or using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).

Knowledge of push notification services (SNS, Firebase, Twilio, email services).

Understanding of application security (OWASP basics).

Experience working in an Agile development environment.
