We are seeking an energetic, organized, and guest-focused Banquet Manager to lead the execution of events within our Conference Center and banquet operations.
This is more than a banquet position. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys coaching teams, driving operational excellence, and creating memorable experiences for guests attending weddings, conferences, meetings, tournaments, celebrations, and community events.
As Banquet Manager, you will serve as the operational leader responsible for event execution, banquet staffing, labor management, service standards, and guest satisfaction while helping support the continued growth of one of Austin's premier hospitality destinations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee execution of all banquet and catered events
- Lead banquet staff and event-day operations
- Coordinate event setup and tear-down
- Conduct pre-event meetings and staff assignments
- Ensure service standards are consistently achieved
- Monitor event timelines and guest experience
- Manage banquet labor scheduling and staffing levels with Event Coordinator
- Coach, train, and develop banquet team members
- Assist with guest recovery and problem resolution
- Partner with the Director of Sales & Catering and Event Coordinator to ensure successful event execution
- Support operational oversight and service standards within Bistro operations
- Identify opportunities for efficiency, profitability, and service improvements
Qualifications
- Prior hospitality, restaurant, banquet, event, or leadership experience required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent guest service mindset
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends as business demands require
