Full Job Description

EMS Educator/ EMS Instructor/ EMS Skills Instructor: Part Time

If you are an active AEMT or Paramedic and would like to become an EMS instructor, now is the time to send in a resume and your availability. EMTS Academy is a private academy focusing on EMS education, located within Texas State University's Round Rock campus. Over the last 24 years this academy has experienced tremendous growth and continues to have a positive impact on our community. We invite you to apply to become a part of our team.

Required Qualifications:

Must hold a current Texas Department of State Health Services EMS Provider certification as an AEMT or Paramedic

Preferred and Additional Qualifications:

Experience in EMS education preferred
1 year post paramedic clearance, high call volume experience with 911 response
Applicants currently employed utilizing their EMS certification are preferred
Must obtain the TDSHS EMS Instructor Certification within 6 months of hire (course is employer paid)

Shifts Available: Applicants who have night and Saturday availability are prioritized based on demand

Tues/Thurs Nights: 6pm until 10pm (greatest need)
Saturdays: 9:30am until 4:30pm (greatest need)
Weekdays: 9:30am until 5pm

A minimum of 20 hours a month is required.

Please be prepared and provide 3 professional references.

AHA CPR Certification (Preferred)
