User Support Specialist

We are Storent — equipment rental experts with a strong international team and a modern approach to business. As our U.S. headquarters in Austin supports the next phase of growth, we are looking for a User Support Specialist to provide day-to-day support for our digital solutions, including iRMS, CargoPoint, and related business applications.
This role will support U.S. business users during U.S. working hours and help ensure questions, system issues, and support requests are handled clearly and efficiently. It is a high-responsibility position for someone who can work independently, communicate well with business users, analyze system issues, and follow problems through to resolution.
The position will work closely with international HelpDesk, IT, and vendor teams when escalation is needed.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day user support for digital solutions, including iRMS, CargoPoint, and related business applications
- Support U.S. business users during U.S. working hours
- Analyze user questions, incidents, and system issues
- Identify root causes and propose practical solutions
- Escalate more complex issues to HelpDesk in Europe, IT, or external vendors with clear descriptions and supporting details
- Follow up on open issues until they are resolved
- Perform data checks, analysis, and corrections in business systems
- Participate in testing of new functionality, system improvements, and process changes
- Prepare and maintain user instructions, process guides, and support materials
- Provide basic training and guidance to business users
- Work closely with users to understand rental processes and how they are reflected in the systems
- Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements to support processes and system use
What we are looking for:
- At least 2 years of experience in IT system user support, application support, business application consulting
- Good understanding of business processes and digital systems
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify the real cause of user issues
- Clear communication skills and ability to work with users at different levels
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently while staying connected with an international team
- High level of responsibility, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Willingness to learn, ask good questions, and develop together with the business
- Experience with ERP systems, rental management systems, or other business applications is a strong advantage
