BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY: Assist Library Services in the administration of the campus library and technical resources. Perform routine clerical duties under direct supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of District, campus, and classroom policies and procedures

Knowledge of technology used in instructional settings

Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications

Skill in delivering training to learners

Skill in utilizing general instructional strategies

Skill in applying classroom/student discipline management

Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing

Skill in operating and troubleshooting standard computer and software

Skill in inventory management

Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities
Experience:

Instructional Support:

Assist in providing instruction and support in using and managing library media center and computer lab resources, including computers, computer carts, audiovisual resources, and other technical equipment.

Support the improvement of instruction.

Implement strategies and supports recommended by instructional and related service providers.

Support and participate in meeting the objectives of the campus/department improvement plan.
Student Support:

Foster independence by scaffolding support as directed by campus leadership.

Communicate with families under the direction of campus leadership.

Assist in resolving parent/student issues and concerns in a timely manner.
-
Assist in managing student behavior in the library and common campus areas in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
Support of Administrative, Fiscal and/or Facilities Functions:

Assist with preparation of instructional equipment and displays, and ensure specific materials, resources, and supplies are ready.

Manage check out and check in of incoming books, materials, and equipment.

Maintain a safe instructional area.

Perform clerical duties and assist with purchase orders, requisitions, and receiving and processing books, materials, and equipment.

Assist with library and inventory management and audits.
-
Provide assistance to campuses/departments as requested.

Organize and facilitate library operation.

Assist with the supervision of parent volunteers and student aides.

Provide basic technical support as needed.
