Full Job Description

Practice Manager

Buckingham Center For Facial Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and people-focused Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing facial plastic surgery practice. This role serves as the operational leader of the practice and is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient experience while driving efficiency, team performance, financial health, and operational excellence across all areas of the business.

The Practice Manager will oversee all operations of the practice through supervision of departmental managers, including front office operations, non-surgical and surgical clinical operations, financial performance, and people management. This individual will manage and ensure seamless coordination across all teams.

This role currently has oversight of four departmental managers and their team members including front office, marketing, non-surgical/injectable/laser, surgical/clinic operations as well as administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Oversee day-to-day operations of the facial plastic surgery practice, ensuring smooth workflows across all departments.
Lead and support department managers responsible for front office, marketing, nursing/clinical staff, non-surgical services and surgery coordination.
Create efficient systems and processes that improve workflow, patient throughput, and overall operational effectiveness.
Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve performance.
Partner closely with physician leadership to align operational priorities with practice growth goals.

Patient Experience

Ensure a high-touch, luxury-level patient experience from consultation through post-operative care.
Monitor patient satisfaction and implement improvements where needed.
Resolve escalated patient concerns professionally and efficiently.

Financial Management

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the practice.
Monitor key financial metrics including revenue, expenses, profitability, collections, and payroll costs.
Partner with accounting/bookkeeping resources on financial reporting, reconciliations, and expense management.
Evaluate opportunities for revenue growth and operational cost savings.

People Leadership / Human Resources

Lead hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development efforts.
Build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional service.
Support employee relations matters and ensure compliance with company policies.
Partner with leadership on organizational planning and staffing needs.

Surgical & Clinical Operations

Ensure coordination between providers, nursing staff, surgical technicians, and patient coordinators.
Oversee surgery scheduling and operational readiness for procedures.
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and accreditation requirements as applicable.
Ensure proper inventory management for clinical and surgical supplies.

Reporting & Strategy

Track and report operational KPIs to ownership/leadership.
Analyze business performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Support strategic growth initiatives, new service offerings, and expansion opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of healthcare practice management or medical operations leadership experience required.
Experience in plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, dermatology, medspa, or elective healthcare strongly preferred.
Experience managing multi-functional teams.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and reporting experience.
Experience overseeing HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, and employee performance management.
Experience with practice management systems such as Nextech preferred.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and operational reporting tools preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-touch patient care environment.
