About Kitwood

Kitwood partners with primary care practices and Accountable Care Organizations to deliver a Collaborative Care solution that improves outcomes for patients with cognitive and behavioral health needs while strengthening quality scores and shared-savings performance. We are building the commercial team that will bring this solution to primary care at scale, starting in markets where ACO adoption is most mature.

The Role

We are hiring a Business Development Manager based in Austin to own pipeline development and new-logo sales into primary care practices operating within ACOs — including MSSP, ACO REACH, and commercial value-based arrangements. You will be the first point of contact for medical directors, ACO executives, population health leaders, and practice administrators, translating Kitwood's Collaborative Care model into measurable clinical and financial impact for their patient panels.

This is a quota-carrying, individual-contributor role for someone who has already done this work — who knows the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), understands reimbursement mechanics, and has a credible network of relationships across the primary care and ACO landscape.

What You'll Do

Build and manage a pipeline of primary care practices within ACOs across the assigned territory, with a focus on organizations positioned to adopt Collaborative Care at scale.
Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through contracting, including discovery, clinical and financial business-case development, pilot scoping, and close.
Engage directly with ACO leadership (Medical Directors, CMOs, VPs of Population Health, ACO Executive Directors) and primary care practice leadership (lead physicians, practice administrators, quality leads).
Articulate the clinical model, workflow integration, and value-based economics — including impact on quality measures, shared savings, and per-member-per-month performance.
Partner with Kitwood's clinical, implementation, and customer success teams to ensure a clean handoff and successful go-live.
Represent Kitwood at relevant industry events, including NAACOS, APG, and regional ACO and primary care forums.
Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in the CRM, and contribute market intelligence back to product and marketing.

Required Experience

Demonstrated track record selling Collaborative Care or comparable integrated care models into primary care practices and ACOs. This is a hard requirement — candidates without direct experience selling collaborative care to this buyer set will not be considered.
Working fluency in the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), the associated CPT/HCPCS codes, and how the model is operationalized inside a primary care workflow.
Strong working knowledge of ACO structures and economics (MSSP, ACO REACH, commercial ACOs), value-based care contracting, and the quality measures that matter to ACO buyers.
5+ years of healthcare business development or sales experience, with a clear pattern of hitting or exceeding quota in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Established relationships with decision-makers across primary care and ACOs in the South Central US or nationally.
Willingness to travel approximately 40–50% within the territory.
Based in or willing to relocate to Austin.

Preferred

Experience selling into ACOs focused on senior populations, dementia care, or behavioral health integration.
Familiarity with digital health platforms, clinical software, or care management solutions sold into primary care.
Existing relationships at large independent primary care groups, IPAs, MSOs, or enablement companies (e.g., Aledade, Privia, Agilon, Pearl Health, Wellvana, evolent).
