Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Pre-Fab Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems including plasma operating as well as water jet operations- must also be proficient in various fabrication and assembly techniques.

Responsibilities -not limited to the following:

Assemble mechanical components according to specifications and schematics.
Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
Operate machinery including press brake machines and forklifts safely and efficiently.
Fabricate parts from sheet metal using appropriate techniques and tools.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve processes and product quality.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
Familiarity with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) processes is preferred.
Strong skills in machining, assembly, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
