Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a key part in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across production operations. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will help ensure high-quality products, reliable processes, and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Process Engineer, you will analyze, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, systems, and operations while building advanced engineering expertise through hands-on project work. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design, testing, implementation, and validation of new and existing manufacturing processes, contributing to successful project execution and the achievement of quality, cost, and production objectives.

You will also troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during production and testing by identifying root causes, recommending effective solutions, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement methodologies, you will help enhance process capability, increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing performance. Responsibilities

Promote a zero-injury culture by conducting risk assessments, identifying potential hazards, and implementing effective safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Provide technical expertise, guidance, and training to production personnel to improve process knowledge and operational performance.
Analyze production data and process metrics to identify trends, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support data-driven decision-making.
Lead process troubleshooting efforts by identifying root causes of production issues and implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Support the research, design, development, testing, validation, and implementation of new and existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
Plan and conduct experiments, trials, simulations, and feasibility studies to evaluate the performance and reliability of materials, products, systems, and manufacturing processes.
Develop, maintain, and revise process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering specifications, technical reports, project plans, and engineering change documentation.
Identify critical process parameters and implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to improve process capability, ensure consistent product quality, and reduce reliance on end-product inspection.
Develop and apply workload and capacity utilization models to optimize labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and overall production performance.
Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies, including 5 Whys and root cause analysis, to investigate process failures and document corrective and
preventive actions (CAPAs/CARs) to prevent recurrence.
Prepare engineering drawings, perform engineering calculations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine manufacturing processes and equipment designs.
Maintain accurate engineering records, including process changes, design revisions, test results, project status updates, presentations, and analytical reports.
Perform cost analyses and evaluate capital and operational expenditures to support engineering and business decisions.
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in project meetings, communicate progress, provide technical recommendations, and support timely completion of engineering projects.
Support the design, installation, commissioning, validation, and startup of new production equipment and manufacturing facilities.
Partner with Quality to ensure manufacturing processes comply with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, manufacturing best practices, and advancements in process engineering.
Perform inspections of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods to verify compliance with quality and engineering standards.
Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records and reports as required.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, company policies, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures.
Support certification, qualification, and audit activities as required.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while consistently following all company safety policies and procedures.
Complete required training, participate in cross-training initiatives, and comply with all company policies and work guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting preventive maintenance programs, spare parts management, tooling management, and other operational improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, manufacturing engineering, or other related field.
One or two years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing company or internship in a related field is highly desired.
Some experience with CAD tools such as AutoCad or SolidWorks is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and process optimization.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to comprehend and follow directions.
Basic understanding of ISO-9000 quality management system principles.
Adept at multi-tasking: able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs.
Ability to meet attendance expectations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Reliable attendance and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours or on alternate shifts as needed to support production requirements, project timelines, or business objectives.
