Tax Accountant – Junior & Senior Levels

About the Opportunity

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountants at both Junior and Senior levels to join our growing accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals who want to develop strong hands-on experience in taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and business advisory services while building a long-term career in public accounting.

We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment with on-the-job training, professional development, and opportunities for advancement.

Depending on your experience and skill level, you may join us as a Junior Tax Accountant or Senior Tax Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will be assigned based on experience and position level and may include:

Prepare individual and business tax returns, including Partnership, LLC, and Corporate returns.
Assist with tax compliance, tax planning, and research on federal and state tax matters.
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks.
Assist with or independently process payroll and sales tax filings.
Prepare and review financial statements for small-business clients.
Communicate with clients regarding accounting, tax, payroll, and business matters.
Assist clients with business formation and federal/state regulatory filings.
Communicate and coordinate with federal and state tax authorities when necessary.
Research accounting and tax issues.
Maintain accurate client records and meet filing and project deadlines.
Work collaboratively with other members of the accounting team.

Senior-level team members will also:

Independently handle more complex individual and business tax returns.
Review tax returns and accounting work prepared by junior staff.
Provide tax planning and general tax consultation to individuals and business clients.
Handle more complex accounting, reconciliation, and compliance matters.
Communicate directly with clients regarding more complex tax and accounting issues.
Assist with training, mentoring, and work distribution for junior team members.

Qualifications

Junior Tax Accountant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Entry-level candidates and candidates with developing public accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
Basic understanding of accounting and U.S. taxation.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
QuickBooks and/or tax preparation software experience is preferred but not required.
CPA or EA candidate is a plus, but not required.

Senior Tax Accountant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance in a public accounting firm setting.
Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations.
Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
Ability to independently handle accounting and tax assignments.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Lacerte preferred.
CPA, EA, or CPA/EA candidate is a plus, but not required.
Strong client communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to review work and provide guidance to junior staff.

Language Requirement

Mandarin Chinese and English are required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
