Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator
Location: Thumb Tool & Engineering / 354 Liberty Street, Bad Axe, Michigan

$500 Sign-On Bonus

Our operators and machinists work with all kinds of equipment used in the tool-making process; CNC lathes and mills, grinders, wire and sinker EDM machines, heat treat furnaces, etc. They’re the backbone of our organization. To be successful, you must demonstrate a willingness to learn, exceptional work ethic, and mechanical aptitude. What this work looks like:

Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches
Set-up and operate machines
Monitor the production process
Perform and document specified inspection criteria
Move parts and paperwork to the next stage of production
Maintain work areas and equipment

What you need to win:

Mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
Critical thinking and a drive for problem-solving
A positive and a proactive mindset
Ability to read and interpret documents including blueprints and sketches
A strong work ethic with availability to work weekends and overtime as needed
