We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead our dealership in Bakersfield, California. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven automotive leader who is passionate about building high-performing teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving profitability, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all dealership operations, including Sales, Service, Parts, Finance & Insurance (F&I), and Administration.
Drive dealership performance by achieving sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational objectives.
Develop, coach, and mentor department managers and employees to build a high-performing, customer-focused team.
Foster a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the dealership.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, employees, manufacturers, and the local community.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), financial statements, and operational reports to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Develop and implement business plans, marketing initiatives, and operational strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
Oversee inventory management to ensure proper stocking levels and maximize inventory turn.
Manage dealership expenses and maintain financial controls while meeting budget and profitability goals.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain top-performing employees across all departments.
Lead by example through active involvement in daily dealership operations and by maintaining a visible presence throughout the dealership.
Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Promote a culture focused on integrity, operational excellence, and delivering an outstanding ownership experience for every customer.

Qualifications

Automotive dealership management experience
Shown success in auto retail sales
Confirmed leadership ability to mentor and train others
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Passionate about training sales team members and operating within a reciprocal environment
Enthusiastic personality with high-energy attitude
Ability to boost morale during the sales workday and improve profitability
Organization and follow-up skills
Experience and desire to work with technology
High School diploma or equivalent
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
