Southern California Orthopedic Institute is seeking a IT Technician I to join our Information Technology team.
As a front-line member of the IT team, you will provide professional, responsive technical support to clinical, administrative, and operational staff across SCOI. Your work will help keep the technology our teams rely on available and dependable. Ultimately, you will be supporting our ability to deliver exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do:
- Provide first-level technical support to clinical, administrative, and operational staff.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, hardware, software, operating system, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Receive, prioritize, document, and resolve support requests through the organization's IT ticketing system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting, equipment deployments, software installations, account changes, and resolutions.
- Create, modify, disable, and maintain user accounts and access permissions in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist users with password resets, account unlocks, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Prepare, configure, image, deploy, replace, and maintain desktop and laptop computers.
- Assist with workstation refreshes, technology rollouts, equipment relocations, and other IT projects.
- Provide first-level support for approved clinical and business applications.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for SCOI's Mitel VoIP telephone environment.
- Follow HIPAA, privacy, security, and organizational requirements when handling technology and sensitive information.
- Work collaboratively with IT team members, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Provide occasional onsite support at other SCOI locations.
Technology You'll Work With

- Microsoft 365
- Windows 11
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Teams
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- Printers and scanning technologies
- iOS and Android devices
- Software installation and troubleshooting
- IT ticketing/service management systems
- Asset management and inventory
- Basic TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking concepts
- Healthcare applications and technology environments
Healthcare IT experience is preferred, but not required.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professionalism, integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine technical problems using logical analysis and established procedures.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Reliable transportation for occasional travel between SCOI facilities.
Preferred:
- 0–2 years of experience in IT, help desk, desktop support, technical support, customer service, or a related field.
- Technical school certificate in Information Technology or a related field.
- CompTIA A+ or comparable technical certification/training.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Internship, military technical training, or hands-on technical experience.
- Experience supporting technology in a healthcare environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is an onsite position supporting clinical and administrative locations. The role requires regular sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and use of hands and fingers to operate technology equipment.
The position may require transporting, installing, and moving IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Travel:
Travel between SCOI locations and remote organizational locations may be required based on operational and IT support needs. Reliable transportation is required.
